Frequently Asked Questions about Timber and Metal Blinds
Q: What styles are available?
A: Venetian Blinds, Holland Blinds, Slim-Line, Eco-Blinds, Roller Blinds - sprung, chain or cord, Vertical Blinds, Shutter Blinds, Black-Out/Privacy Blinds. It's your choice. Just call and ask.
Q: Do we make 'Custom' Blinds?
A: Yes we do and have the ability to provide some unique solutions.
Q: Why should I call Timber and Metal Blinds?
A: Being one of less than a handfull of installers in Western Australia and the Only one in Perth and surrounding Suburbs and towns that is a totally mobile ONSITE blind cutting service: - means we are able to cut and install right on site. This makes our service unique.
Q: How long does it take to cut and install blinds?
A: This will depend on the blinds you have bought and the location in your home you want them fitted. In turn this will determine the length of time taken to cut and the ease of fitting. As a general rule, 4 blinds per hour to fit the brackets, to cut the blind, to install the blind, adjust the drop, hang the pelmet and just as important, we clean up.
Q: How much will I need to invest to complete the Installation?
A: Again as a general rule, depending on type of blind purchased, one should allow $50:00 per blind, per average window.
Q: Are the controls on the blind movable from left to right?
A: In almost all cases, the controls to operate the up and down movement of a blind are on the right, whilst the tilt mechanism is located on the left. This is standard with all “off the shelf blinds”. Only when the blind is a custom order can you nominate which side to have the controls located.
Q: When can you do the job?
A: You only need to give us a weeks notice but we are flexible and if you need more time than that it is not a problem.
We are available 7 days a week.
We work weekends, holidays, Easter, Christmas………We never stop for a break when our customers need the job done.
